CHASERS. THE ARENA IS OPEN. THE CLOCK IS RUNNING.

Your score isn't a number in the corner. It's strapped to your back. Every drone you pop makes you carry more, glow brighter, and look delicious to everyone else in the arena. Bank it at a pad and it's yours forever. Get shot before you do, and your killer takes everything you're carrying.

Five minutes. One crown, floating over whoever's carrying the most. Who will take home the score?

TWO MODES

  • SPEED CROWNING — 4-man FFA. One arena, four chasers, every rival between you and the bank. Winner takes all.
  • CROWNFALL — 4v4 team war. Two mirrored bases, blue vs gold and the only bank in the game is the Vault, on an exposed plinth in the open middle. Farm at home, then push center and cash out under fire. Highest team total takes the round.

HOW IT PLAYS

  • WASD move · SHIFT sprint · SPACE jump
  • TAP fire for a quickshot · HOLD + RELEASE for a charged shot (up to 3 damage)
  • Stand on a gold pad to bank. It takes a few seconds, but the beam tells the whole arena what you're doing
  • Die to a drone, keep half your carry. Die to a chaser, lose it all to them.
  • M mutes, ESC pauses

ONLINE

  • QUICK PLAY drops you into a live 4-chaser arena (nearby players preferred). Bots hold empty seats and yield the moment a real chaser connects — mid-round.
  • PRIVATE ROOM gives you a 4-letter code to share with friends.
  • A global leaderboard keeps one best score per chaser. Humans only (bots don't get to be famous.)
  • If the bottom corner says OFFLINE, the server's just asleep. Hit Quick Play, give it about 60 seconds, try again.
  • Solo vs bots works without any connection at all.

CROWNCHASER NEVER DIES

This game was made for the Stop Killing Games Community Jam, and it practices what the movement preaches:

  • Solo mode is complete offline: no server, no account, no expiry. This exact file will play the same in 20 years.
  • The multiplayer server is source-available and free to run. If the official server ever goes dark, anyone can host their own and point the game at it with a URL parameter.
  • No accounts, no DRM, no phoning home. The game is a single HTML file. Keep it.
